Medieval Times Armor

We were recently approached to design and create new jousting helmets for all of the 9 venues of
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. We of course were honored as Medieval Times is an icon in
the attraction world. There are 6 different knights in the show so we needed 6 different styles of
helmets. We wanted medieval influences but also to maintain the look that Medieval Times has built
over the years, what we came up with is pictured above. These helmets are vacuum formed with
1/8" Kydex plastic which is virtually indestructible. Each helmet features a different visor style. The
visors are equipped with a stainless steel wire mesh eye slit piece which will deflect any and all
bombardment of lance shards. All of the visors retract and have leather hold down straps for when
the knights perform their stunts. The insides are custom padded and the neck line is wrapped with
leather. These helmets also feature a plume holder on the back.
